Mechanical Engineer responsibilities:  
  • Robotic Mechanism Engineering: Engineer robotic mechanisms, interfaces, and enclosures for humanoid robots, ensuring robust integration and performance using CAD software.
  • Modeling & Simulation: Apply kinematic and dynamic models to simulate and refine robotic movement and behavior for optimal functionality.
  • Material & Structural Analysis: Analyze and select materials for strength, weight, and durability; conduct structural testing and simulations to ensure reliability.
  • Optimisation: Engineer efficient, high-performance robotic systems balancing payload, power consumption, and speed for operational effectiveness.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Build and test prototypes to validate engineering concepts and make data-driven improvements.
  • System Integration: Oversee mechanical, electrical, and software integration to achieve seamless robotic functionality.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards through risk assessments and compliance-focused engineering.
  • Documentation & Collaboration: Develop technical documentation and collaborate cross-functionally to support manufacturing, assembly, and project goals.
Mechanical Engineer requirements:  
  • Mechanical & Robotics Engineering: Strong foundation in statics, dynamics, and materials for robotics applications.
  • Modeling & Simulation: Skilled in CAD and simulation tools for design, stress analysis, and system testing.
  • Kinematics & Dynamics: Expertise in kinematics and control principles for robotic movement and precision.
  • Material Science & Structural Engineering: Knowledgeable in material properties and structural integrity for durable robotics.
  • Prototyping: Experienced in CNC, 3D printing, and rapid prototyping for fast iteration.
  • Safety & Compliance: Familiar with ISO safety standards for robotic systems.
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Skilled in troubleshooting and optimizing complex engineering challenges.
  • Technical Communication: Effective in communicating technical concepts and collaborating across disciplines.
